Mrs. Kathy Faye Painter Newton age 59 of Chandler Rd. Ellijay died Thursday May 3, 2012.

Mrs. Newton was born on November 26, 1952 in Clinton, TN. She is the daughter of the late Nelson Buck Painter and Emma Ruth Wright Painter. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of the Harvest Missionary Church. She is preceded in death by her sisters Allie Painter Shorter, Rebecca Painter Shorter, Imogene Painter Newton and a brother Terry Painter.

Survivors include: Husband: Donnie Newton, Ellijay; Children: Sabrina Knight, Ellijay, Chris & Tammy Newton, Ellijay, Dewayne & Rhonda Newton, Ellijay; Brothers and Sisters in-law: Alfred & Helen Painter, Ellijay Mike & Janet Painter, Corbin, KY Sisters and Brothers in-law: Phyllis and Kenneth Richards, Ellijay Juanita & George Almond, Villanow, GA 9 Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 5, 2012 at 4pm from the Harvest Missionary Church with Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday May 5th from 10am until 3:30pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Yukon Cemetery.
