Mrs. Alice Virginia Thrasher, age 73 of Cherry Log, passed away on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta.

Mrs. Thrasher was born on November 21st, 1950 in Atlanta, GA to the late Clyde Edly Kirby and the late Margie Virginia Chapman. She worked as a chef and made the "Alice Potatoes", at the Pink Pig, famous. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Trasher is preceded in death by her husband, Aurther Lemar Thrasher; and sister, Sherri Holloway.

Survivors include her brother, Bud (Robin) Kirby of Morganton; three sisters, Judy (David) Higdon of Cherry Log, Elizabeth Kirby of Ellijay, and Anita Whistnant of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Music will be performed by Teresa Chastain. Interment will follow in Chapman Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Ted Duvall, Matthew Higdon, Brian Kirby, Jason Kirby, Alex Whistnant, Christian Whistnant, Anthony Whistnant, and Ben Holloway.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 16th from 12:00 PM until the service hour.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
