Ann Johnson Winn, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on March 1, 2026.

Ann was born September 23, 1942 in Calhoun County, Alabama. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family, watching birds, growing flowers, preparing meals for family and friends, crafting and sewing, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Ann spent countless hours and worked tirelessly at the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, teaching Youth and Senior Adult Sunday school, organizing Senior Adult luncheons and programs, planning funeral meals, and anything else that might help someone know the love of Christ. She took her faith seriously and knew that her actions spoke louder than any words.

Surviving Ann are her husband of 62 years, George Winn, daughters Dana Winn Burton (Christian) of Aiken, South Carolina, and Diane Winn Hassler (Rodger) of Cartersville, Georgia, grandchildren Danielle Burton Auten (Chase) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Paul Hassler (Haley) of Acworth, Georgia, Karen Hassler of Cartersville, Georgia, great-granddaughter Ivy Auten, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Ellijay (164 N. Dalton Street, Ellijay, GA 30540)

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5th from 5 pm until 8 pm at Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River Street, Ellijay, GA 30540).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church of Ellijay.
