Ms. April Leona Stanfield, age 48 of Ellijay, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Ms. Stanfield was born in Pickens County on April 9, 1973, the daughter of David Stanfield and Geneva Sutton. She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. She was also referred to as "The Warden" by her loved ones and friends. She also loved her special pups, Coco and Hershey. She is preceded in death by grandparents T.C. and Eva Mae Banks, Hoy and Bobbie Stanfield.

Survivors include Father David (Judy) Stanfield, Tate, Mother Geneva (Gary) Sutton Ellijay, Brothers Ted (Charlotte) Ellijay, Robert Sutton, Rocky Face, Sister Dana (John) Wright Ellijay Special Nephews Luke Wright, Anthony Sutton, Special cousin, Tammy Darnell Several Aunts and Uncles also survive.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 6 ^th, 2022 at 2pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral with Rev. Glen Arnold and Rev. Roy Scott officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Judes Children's Hospital or autismspeaks.org in memory of Mrs. Stanfield.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6 ^th from 12pm until the funeral hour of 2pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
