Mr. Arvil Fred Lambert, age 87 of Ellijay, passed away on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at his residence.

Arvil was born on July 29th, 1936 in Ellijay, GA to the late Abner Lambert and the late Ivy Hensley Lambert. He was retired from Sears and a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Ellijay. Arvil loved his family dearly and loved to make everyone laugh. Mr. Lambert is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnelle Reed Lambert of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Paul) Huckleberry of South Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, David (Maudell) Southerland of Ellijay; two grandchildren, Zachary Huckleberry of Auburn, GA and Reid Huckleberry of South Carolina; nieces, Monya Johnson of Ellijay and Tonya Cantrell of Ellijay; great-nieces, Molly Johnson, Addison Johnson, Kaylee Bagwell, Chloee Cantrell, Cora Beth Cantrell, and IvyGrace Cantrell; and great-nephews, Brodie Johnson, Yancey Johnson, Rylee Cantrell and Myles Cantrell, and 4 great-great nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 20th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. Donnie Lee Cantrell officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Rhonda Davis. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Zachary Huckleberry, Reid Huckleberry, Robert Reed, Craig Johnson, Dewell Sanford, and Terry Hensley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Rev. Shane Stephenson will lead the family in a word of prayer.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Dewell Sanford at P.O. Box 16 Ellijay, GA 30540.
