Mrs. Audrey Mildred Van Tassell, age 88 of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN.

Mrs. Van Tassell was born in Yonkers, NY on September 19, 1934 to the late George and Grace Becker. She was a Witness of Jehovah for nearly 66 years and a full time minister for the last 38 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Van Tassell is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Van Tassell Sr.; brothers, William Becker and Martin Becker; and son, Norman Van Tassell Jr.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lewis (Maryellen) Van Tassell of Blue Ridge; two daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy (Glen) Durant and Laurel (Dan) Colwell of Ellijay; nine grandchildren, Serena (Jared) Egloff, Tisa (Peter) Yuknevich, Travis (Alicia) Van Tassell, Sarah Van Tassell, Tonya (Adam) Czesnowski, Justin (Rachelle) Durant, Evan (Teresa) Van Tassell, Jake Colwell, and Colby Colwell; and three great grandchildren, Payne Yuknevich, Reece Van Tassell, and Erin Van Tassell also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blue Ridge.
