Mrs. Barbara Ann Davis Burgess, age 77 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at the Chesnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Cumming, GA.

Mrs. Burgess was born on September 8, 1948, in Murphy, North Carolina, to the late Grady Davis and the late Violet Mae Buchanan Davis. She was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. Mrs. Burgess loved the Lord, her family, and the beauty of flowers and gardening. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church in Ellijay, Georgia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Mr. Wayne Burgess of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Bernabe) Vasquez of Ellijay, GA; six grandchildren, Joe Davis, Brandon Linthicum, Tiffany Richards, Mathew Burgess, Bayron Vasquez, and Yelena Robinson, and six great-grandchildren, Julianna Payne, Aeiden Linthicum, Kyleigh Rice, Abbigail Richards, Aliyah Richards, and Kamilah Richards.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Burgess will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Brown officiating. Mrs. Sharon Rogers will perform vocals. Graveside Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joe Davis, Mathew Burgess, Kevin Davis, Bernabe Vasquez, Joseph Gannon, and Bayron Vasquez.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6th, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers and food will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Barbara Ann Burgess.
