Mrs. Barbara Ann Elliot Defoor, age 74 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 6 ^th , 2022.

Mrs. Defoor was born August 10th,1949 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Jimmy Elliott and Louise Hollifield Elliott. She was employed by the Conoco Gas Station in Ellijay and worked as a cashier. She always had a warm and welcoming smile. Mrs. Defoor was also a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her sons, Lamar Elliott of Ellijay; Steven Johnson of Ellijay, and Joe Weaver of Ellijay; Daughter, Lisa Eckenrode of Washington State, Brother, Jimmy Stephen Elliott of Ellijay; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; three nephews and numerous friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15 ^th , 2022, at 5:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Irene Wofford and Rev. Pat Shelton to be officiating. Interment will follow in Yukon cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Lamar Elliott, Steve Elliott, Joe Weaver, Les Elliott, and Todd Stephens.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 15 ^th , 2022, from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour of 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home in memory of Mrs. Defoor.
