Mrs. Barbara Jean Morrow, age 89, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Barbara was born on February 7, 1937, in Epperson, Tennessee, to the late Riley Melvin Dalton and Effie Jane West Dalton. She was the youngest of seven children.

At the age of fourteen, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized, a faith that remained central throughout her life.

Barbara was educated in Tennessee and became a teacher. In 1956, she met her late husband, Kenneth Oliver Morrow, and they were married in 1957. They later made their home in Georgia, where she became a devoted member of Turniptown Baptist Church and built many cherished friendships.

Barbara is survived by her four children and their spouses, Paula Morrow, Tammy (Eric) Ledford, Tony (Shelly) Morrow, and Sheila (Leroy, Jr.) Grizzle; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 2pm from the Turniptown Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Eric Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by Stephanie Jones, and the church choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dalton Morrow officiating. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Justin Wingate, Jordan Grizzle, James Leford, Donnie Ledford, Levi Morrow, and Dalton Morrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Esparza, Matthew Esparza, Brady McCollum, and the great-grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7th from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home and again on Wednesday, April 8th from 9am until 1pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Turniptown Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Morrow. However, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong faith, kind heart, and dedication to her family, church, and community.
