Bernice Davis Branch, beloved business owner, devoted community member, cherished friend, and loving mother passed away on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 at the age of 93. Bernice leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to serving others.
Born on August 12, 1931, Bernice was a beacon of light in Ellijay. She pursued her entrepreneurial spirit with passion and determination establishing herself as the proud owner of the Men & Boys Store which became a cornerstone for the community. She and her friend, Chuck Deem, owned and operated Life's Little Pleasures Bakery.
Bernice's warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She had the ability to uplift others and spread joy wherever she went. Her acts of kindness are countless, her generosity knew no bounds. Bernice was a pillar of support for those in need, always offering a listening ear, a helping hand, and words of encouragement.
Her flower arrangements, pound cakes, visits, and smiles brought delight to friends and family alike. She found joy in sharing her many talents with others.
Above all Bernice will be remembered for her love and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Bernice will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Davis, treasured friend Chuck Deem, and spouse Bill Branch. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law. Kathy Davis Harwell of Rome, Georgia and Sandy and Roger Ott of Ellijay. Her surviving family includes five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a Private Graveside Service at the Ellijay City Cemetery. In honoring Bernice's memory, her family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers or donations, you support a local small business, perform an act of kindness, and encourage others, just as Bernice did throughout her life.
