Mrs. Bessie Lee Silvers, age 92 of Talking Rock, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 31 ^st , 2022 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.

Mrs. Silvers was born on September 5 ^th , 1929 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late Roy Junkins and Mamie Blankenship Junkins. Mrs. Silvers worked at the Pickens Footwear Plant and was the oldest serving member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Oakman, GA. She loved gardening, canning, and her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Silvers is preceded in death by her husband. T.J. Silvers; son, Emmett Silvers, and brother, Joe Junkins.

Survivors include: one son and daughter in law, Eldridge and Dorothy Silvers of Ellijay; daughter, Eva Lee Howell of Talking Rock; sister, Pearl Nolan of Dalton, and three grandchildren, Alma Lee Silvers, Nathan (Kirsten) Silvers, and Gloria (Patrick) Walker.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 4 ^th , 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in the Berean Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Nathan Silvers, Danny Buckner, Lloyd Junkins, James Walker, Patrick Walker, and Joe Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Clinton Smith and Daryl Silver.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 3 ^rd , 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home in memory of Mrs. Bessie Lee Silvers.
