Mrs. Betty Cruse age 76 of Ellijay died on July 9th, 2023, at the piedmont mountainside hospital in Jasper GA.

Mrs. Cruse was born March 7th, 1947, in Ellijay GA to the late Joel L. Stillwell and Minnie Jones Stillwell. She was a wonderful wife, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. She was a member of the Gospel Temple Church.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Monroe Cruse, Son and daughter-in-law; Rev. William Cruse and Amanda Cantrell Cruse, Siblings, and spouses; Barbara and Rev. Willie Young, Jeanette Stillwell, Billy Stillwell, Joel Donald, and Monica Stillwell all of Ellijay, three grandchildren; Madison Cruse, Peyton Cruse, Paisley Cruse, several nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. William Cruse and Rev. Josh Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Food and Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Cruse.
