William "Bill" Marion Jones, age 84, of Brunswick, GA passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, Ga following an illness.

Bill was born April 28, 1940 in Cochran, Georgia to the late Irby and Helen Newman Jones. He grew up on St. Simons Island and graduated high school from Glynn Academy in 1958. After graduation he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He married Evalyn Johns in 1961 and they were married 49 years until her passing in 2010. Bill was the General Manager of Fuller O'Brien Paints in Brunswick and later owned a used car dealership with his brothers, Sonny and Jackie Jones. He was a member of Christian Renewal Church for 50 years where he served as an Elder.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evie, his son Charles 'Chuck' Jones, brother Irby 'Sonny' Jones Jr, and infant great-granddaughter Lela Villela.

Bill is survived by his wife Cynthia Herrin Jones of Brunswick, his son Jon (Debra) Jones of Ellijay, GA; daughter-in-law Terri Reynolds Jones of Brunswick; 8 grandchildren - Landen (Haila) Jones of Brunswick, Summer (Daniel) Villela of Honolulu, HI, Tori (Josh) Perigo of Ellijay, Taylor (Melissa) Jones of Rockwood, TN, Aaliyah Jones of Cumming, GA, Arifah, Amayah and Kiana Jones of Ellijay. 10 Great grandchildren: Tait & Lillie Jones of Brunswick, Chandler, Dallas & Harley Villela of Honolulu, Kashane, Anez, Anique, Jonijah & Josiah Perigo of Ellijay. Brother, Jackie Jones of Brunswick.

Mr. Jones will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Christian Renewal Church, 4265 Norwich Street Ext., in Brunswick, GA. Visitation will be one (1) hour prior to the service at the church.
