Ms. Bobbie Reece Bruce, age 82 of Talking Rock, passed away Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 at The Retreat at Jasper.

Ms. Bruce was born on April 18th, 1940 in Gilmer County to the late Willie Reece and Thelma Teague Reece. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1957 and was the owner of a shoe store in Ellijay. Ms. Bruce was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Reece.

Survivors include her special friend, Roy A. Pritchard; two sons, David Linton Bruce of Ellijay and Danny Ernest Bruce of Talking Rock; daughter, Sandra Gail Evans of Canton; sister, Jeri Stephens of Ellijay; five grandchildren, Shaina Peritts, Tabitha Roper, Eric Evans, Devin Martinez, and Madison Bruce; and four great-grandchildren also survives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 25th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Mock officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Park Cemetery on Monday, September 26th at 2:00 PM.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday, September 25th from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.

The family will be accepting flowers and food in memory of Ms. Bobbie Reece Bruce.
