Mr. Bobby Griggs, age 79 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, February 14 ^th , 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Griggs was born in Gilmer County on April 30 ^th , 1942 to the late Glen Griggs and Annie Leola Carroll Griggs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Dale Griggs; five brothers, Herbert, Gene, David, Alden, and Raymond Griggs. Mr. Griggs was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie Smith Griggs; one daughter, Lisa Hasty; four sons, Robby Griggs, Timmy Griggs (Stacie), Jody Griggs (Donna), and Mark Griggs (Benita); one brother, Dwight Griggs; four sisters, Glenda Davis (Melvin), Bernice Mosley, Phyllis Lowe, and Rosa Strickler (Leonard); fifteen grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 18 ^th , 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev(s). John Reece, Ray Dycus, and Nick Nealey officiating. Interment will follow in Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers include, B.J Griggs, Tyler Griggs, Cody Griggs, Colter Griggs, Ryan Griggs, Aidan Griggs, Caleb Hasty, and Mitchell Griggs.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18 ^th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
