Mrs. Matilda Bonelle Reed Lambert, age 86 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at the Emerald Gardens of Greenwood, S.C.

Mrs. Lambert was born on March 15, 1940, in Ellijay, GA, to the late Charlie and Mindy Reed. She was a devoted member of Berean Baptist Church of Ellijay and loved the Lord greatly. Mrs. Lambert was a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed flowers, cooking for those she loved, and spending time with her family and friends. Her kind heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Mr. Arvil Fred Lambert.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Paul) Huckleberry of McCormick, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford (Jenny) Reed of Covington, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David (Maudell) Southerland of Ellijay, GA, and two grandchildren, Zach Huckleberry and Reid Huckleberry.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Lambert will be held on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., noon, from the Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Mrs. Rhonda Davis will sing. Graveside Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Zach Huckleberry, Reid Huckleberry, Donnie Lee Cantrell, Rylee Cantrell, Myles Cantrell, Craig Johnson, Brody Johnson, and Yancey Johnson.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
