Mrs. Bonnie Lou Waters Milton, age 90 of Dahlonega, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Terrace Nursing and Rehab Facility in Berea, Kentucky.

Mrs. Milton was born on November 28th, 1934 in Dahlonega, GA to the late Andrew Robinson Waters and the late Orphia Weaver Waters. Bonnie, a cherished member of the Dahlonega community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and warmth. She was a proud and devoted member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Dahlonega, GA, where her love for the Lord and her church family shone brightly in everything she did. Known for her kind heart and joyful spirit, she brought comfort and laughter to those around her with her sharp sense of humor and caring nature. She loved her family deeply and took great joy in spending time with them. A talented baker, she often shared her delicious creations with friends and loved ones, creating sweet memories that will be treasured. Mrs. Milton also dedicated many years as an administrative assistant with Georgia Power Company, where her professionalism and commitment were deeply valued. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Milton is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Cecil W. Milton; sister, Carmen Waters Seitz, and nephew, Robert A. Seitz.

She is survived by her niece, Joyce Hutcheson of Richmond, Kentucky; nephews, H. Stanley Seitz and Larry D. Seitz both of Dahlonega, GA, and several great nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Milton will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. from the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church located at 1751 Wesley Chapel Rd. Dahlonega, GA 30533 with Rev. Calvin Ward and Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Graveside Interment will follow in the church cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her late husband, Mr. Cecil Milton. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Mike McMahan, Ryan Whitley, Austin McKinney, Nathan Clifford, Jason Seitz, Guy Cambron, Nick Woody, and Bo Woody.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18th, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home located at 163 River Street, Ellijay, GA 30540. The following day, Saturday, July 19th, Mrs. Milton will lie-in-state at the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour of 5:00 p.m. There will be no public visitation held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 19th, the day of the service.

The family will be accepting food and flowers in memory of Mrs. Bonnie Lou Milton.
