Brenda L. Hughes Baker, age 82 of Ellijay, passed away on Thursday, September 15th, 2022.

Mrs. Baker was born on March 10th, 1940 in Copperhill, TN to the late Charles and Eunice Parm Hughes. She a member of the New Vision Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Johnny (Diane) Baker of Ellijay and Tony Baker of Ellijay; daughter, Diane Defoor Baker of New York; brothers, John Hughes of Tunnel Hill, Gene (Lula Belle) Hughes of Ellijay, and James Hughes of Ringgold, sister, Celia West of Fairmount; grandchildren, Chauncey Defoor, Kevin Hughes, Stacey Lambert, Travis Hughes, and Eric Baker; and several great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at 1:15 pm from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Glen Arnold officiating. Music will be performed by Ronald and Linda Hyde.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted in loving memory of Mrs. Baker.
