Brittany Shea Hughes, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and fiancé went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2024. Born on June 24, 1986, in Alma, Georgia, Brittany was known for her kindness, generosity, and compassion. Her love for family, life, and adventure was evident to all who knew her.

Brittany was the devoted mother of three children, Cameron, Carson, and Braylin, who were the light of her life. She is survived by her loving parents, Dana (Mike) Ware and Darrell (Sharon Silas) Hughes, who nurtured her with love and support throughout her life. Brittany shared a close bond with her siblings, her brother Jason Hughes, and her sisters Kaydence Hughes, Allie Ware, and Casey Ware, who will forever cherish her memory. Brittany was engaged to Dereck Green, with whom she shared a deep and loving bond. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother Betty Johns.

An honor graduate of Central Georgia Technical College, Brittany earned a degree in Radiologic Technology. Her dedication to her studies and her profession was evident in her commitment to helping others, a trait that defined her both personally and professionally.

Brittany grew up in Carrollton and Folkston, lived in Macon, GA while attending college then relocated to Ellijay, GA where she raised her children. She made lasting lifelong friendships with so many everywhere she went.

Brittany's life was marked by her unwavering compassion and her ability to bring warmth and joy to those around her. Her generous spirit and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was known for her ability to listen and offer support, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Though her time with us was far too short, Brittany's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held at East Ellijay Baptist Church on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm to honor Brittany's life and celebrate the beautiful person she was. The family will receive visitors from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted into a fund for Brittany's children.
