Mrs. Carolyn Acree Black, age 83 of Ellijay, passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital of Jasper.

Mrs. Black was born on December 24th, 1938 in Crisp County, GA to the late James Acree and Dora Olds Acree. She was employed by the Fulton County School System for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Quincey Elizabeth Black; two brothers, James Acree and Billy Acree; and sister, Joe Ann Acree.

Survivors include her husband, William Black; three sons, William "Bugg" Reynolds Black Jr., Reynold Quincey Black II, and Stefan Quincey Black; daughter, Helen Melissa Black; sister, Betty Calhoun; and two grandchildren, William Reynolds Black III and Shelby Black also survive.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 21st at 2:00 PM at the Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandy Springs.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family will be accepting food and flowers in memory of Mrs. Black.
