Carolyn Mae Falkenstein, age 67, of Ellijay passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Piedmont Hospital. She was born on May 18, 1958 to the late Richard Falkenstein Sr. and Doris Anne Fridley Falkenstein. In her fulfilling life, Carolyn loved flowers and fishing. She was a longtime store associate with Walmart and was of the Christan faith. Most of all, she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Falkenstein jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shawna Price; sons, Benjamin (Janice) Havens, John (Kim) Pemberton, Daniel (Nikki) Pemberton, Justin Pemberton and Andrew Pemberton; sisters, Judith (James) Phillips, Pamela (Don) Brown, Sharon (Dick) Buck and Dolores (Gary) Reedy along with seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 26 at Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay with Rev. Paul Richards officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of the service.
