Mrs. Catherine Eula Sitten Cantrell, age 88 of Ellijay, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16th, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Cantrell was born on February 27th, 1937 in Ellijay, GA to the late Farris Sitten and Erna Buckner Sitten. She was a nurse and a member of the Harvest Missionary Church of Ellijay. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cantrell is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Cantrell; three brothers, Raymond Sitten, F.C. Sitten, and Morris Sitten, and three sisters, Blondie Pritchett, Sue Bowers, and Mary Nell Findley.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Danny (Judy) Cantrell of Ellijay, GA and Donny Cantrell of Ellijay, GA; four grandchildren, Raven (Chris) Sparks, Danny (Brittany) Cantrell, Jr., Michelle (Larry) Busbee, and Rev. Donny Lee (Tonya) Cantrell; fourteen great-grandchildren, Leah Weldon, Lane Weldon, Mason Weldon, Kaylee (Tim) Bagwell, Chloe (Walker Ross) Cantrell, Rylee Cantrell, Myles Cantrell, Cora Beth Cantrell, IvyGrace Cantrell, Ely Gibson, Ally Schmidt, Haydon Cantrell, Hunter Cantrell, and Haley Cantrell, and three great-great grandchildren, Oren Bagwell, Onyxx Bagwell, and Oakin Bagwell, special friend, Susan Young, along with a host of friends and extended family also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Cantrell will be held on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold and Rev. Donny Lee Cantrell officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Leta Hood. Graveside Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Rylee Cantrell, Myles Cantrell, Mason Weldon, Lane Weldon, Hayden Cantrell, Hunter Cantrell, Tim Bagwell, Eli Gibson and Walker Ross.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Missionary Church @ 400 Clear Creek Rd. Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. Catherine Eula Cantrell.
