Catherine Arnone Mau

Mrs. Catherine Arnone Mau, age 97 of Ellijay, passed on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Catherine was born October 3, 1927, in Frostburg, Maryland to the late Samuel and Elizabeth Santoro Arnone. She lived in Florida for many years and then moved to Ellijay. She loved living in the mountains. Catherine was one of the sweetest ladies you would ever meet. She was a caring and giving soul who loved helping others. She was a wonderful cook and making cakes was her favorite. Besides spending time with her Grandson, Sam, going out to dinner was what she enjoyed most.

Survivors include son, Paul Scott Mau of Ellijay, and grandson, Samuel Ryan Carpenter of Ellijay.

Catherine's wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned.
