Charles Stoner, age 82, of Ellijay, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Charles was born in 1942 to the late Collins and Florabelle Willerson Stoner. He was a member at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Alton Stoner

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Deborah Watkins Stoner; daughters, Tina (Phillip) Goss, Lena Stoner, Rita Cawthon; sons, Charles Curtis (Alexa) Stoner, Jr., Joseph Earl Tucker and Mathew Collins (Rebecca) Stoner; step children, Kathrine Bittler and William Bittler; brothers Donald (Jane) Stoner, Tommy Stoner and Kevin Willerson along with fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
