James Robert Holloway, age 82, of Morganton, GA passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at his home. Mr. Holloway was born in Ellijay, GA on February 12, 1943 to the late Robert Hood Holloway and the late Jessie Watkins Holloway. Mr. Holloway proudly served the United States of America in the Air Force and also in the Georgia Air National Gaurd - retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, S.G.Humphrey and also his sisters-in-law and their spouses, Myrta Ann (Jim) Taylor and Anna Lou (Estus) Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria "Judy" Holloway; sisters and their spouses, Bobbie (Tobie) Green and Margaret (Steve) Farist; sister-in-law, Sue Humphrey; and nieces and nephews, Robby (Jade) Davis, Matthew (Jessica) Chastain, Jessica Wise, Stephen (Candace) Farist, David Green, Michael (Elizabeth) Green, Nancy (Alan) Kubiak, David (Terry) Humphrey, and Lee (Anita) Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Mr. William Rodgers officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Jeanette Rismiller and Mr. Greg Norton. Interment will follow the service in the Chastain Memorial Park with military honors provided by the United States Air Force. Serving as pallbearers will be David Humphrey, Lee Humphrey, Robby Davis, Matthew Chastain, Mark McKinney, and Kyle Panter. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Larry Williams, Jim Rismiller, Toney Bolling, and Larry Seabolt. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
