Mr. Dannie Lee "Boone" Wilson, age 71 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Mr. Wilson was born on January 8, 1955 in Dalton, GA to the late Arvil Wilson and Joyce Ogles Wilson. He was a member of The Vine Church.

He was a kind-hearted man who never met a stranger and truly loved being around people. Music brought him great joy, whether he was listening to it or playing it himself. He was also very talented and creative, especially when it came to his spoon art, which was one of his greatest passions.

He enjoyed collecting many unique things throughout his life and treasured the simple moments spent with his beloved dogs. He will be remembered for his creativity, gentle spirit, and love for others.

Survivors include, his wife, Terry Elrod; sons, Jessie Wilson (Chauna) and Justin Ensley (Elizabeth); daughters, Lacy Mullis (Brent), Wendi Kitchen, and Scarlette Smith (Jeremy); sisters, Amanda Wilson Roeger and Melea Nichols; 13 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 2 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Janice Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Jessie Wilson, Brent Mullis, Tyler Wilson, Jake Elrod, Anthony Elrod, and Ernest Morris.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19th from 4 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers and Food will be accepted in memory of Mr. Wilson.
