Rissie "Darlene" Clayton Slaton, age 89 of Clevland, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 28 ^th , 2023 at Gate Way Nursing Home.

Darlene was born on May 7 ^th , 1933 in Ellijay, GA to the late Arvil Clayton and Eula Mae Parker. She was a machine operator for Siemens Electric Co. for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Daughter Janice Towler, as well as 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, David and Debbie Mooney of Alpharetta, Doyle Mooney of Ball Ground; and daughters, Cathy Weaver of Cleveland and Carolyn Ensslin of Dawsonville. One sister Mae Dover, and sister-in-law, Lessie Clayton. Thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 2 ^nd , 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Tickanetley Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. on Sunday until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M.
