Mr. David Edward Cape age 85 of Ellijay, GA passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Cape was born August 17, 1939, in Fulton County to the late Clarence Cape and Ida Lee Weaver Cape. Mr. Cape was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He also worked as a barber and retired from GM as an inspector.

Survivors Include: his wife, Lauren Cape; sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Lanette Cape, of Powder Springs, GA, Stephen and Wanda Cape, of Hixon, TN, Joel and Margaret Cape, of Powell, TN, Christopher and Crystal Guay, of Morganton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Bryde and Kris Reece, of Ellijay, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Wayne Settle, of Greenville, GA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 20th at 1 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Randy Cape and Steve Cape officiating. Pallbearers will be Kris Reece, Jason Settle, Tyler Cape, Joel Lee Cape, Andrew Cape, Lukas Guay, Chris Guay, and Andrew Phifer. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20th from 10 am until the service hour at 1 pm at the funeral home.
