Mr. Delmas Chastain, age 76 of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Chastain was born on November 29th, 1947, in Pickens County, to the late George Chastain and Emily Young Chastain. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Blue Ridge Carpet. Mr. Chastain was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Stewart Chastain; sister, Retha Southern; grandson, Zach Chastain; and two brothers, R.L. Chastain and Wayne Chastain.

Survivors include his two sons, Tony (Peri) Chastain and Keith (Allison) Chastain; brother, Doug (Pam) Chastain; and five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14th from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Delmas Chastain; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
