Mrs. Denisha Dotson, age 43, of Jasper, Georgia, formerly of Ellijay, GA passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Denisha was born on January 13, 1983. She worked as an LPN with a medical group before later serving as the school nurse at Pickens County Middle School. She was a member of Nelson Baptist Church.

Denisha loved her family dearly. Her daughters were her world, and she cherished spending time with them and doing the things they enjoyed. She also had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting and hiking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Burt Dotson; daughters, Bella Bruce, Mali Bruce, and Cora Jane Dotson; parents, James and Brenda Holt; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ben Fountain; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Billy and Anita Dotson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Brent and Canzady Dotson, and Haley and Bruce Reece; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 13th at 2 pm from the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson, Rev. Michael Smith, and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Music will be by the Nelson Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ben Fountain, Clay Callan, Larry Sanford, Alan Holt, Blake Reece, Brent Dotson, and Bruce Reece.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12th from 4 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home and again on Thursday, August 13th from 9 am until the service hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Denisha’s memory to her daughters’ college fund. Checks may be mailed to 115 Mill Creek Drive, Jasper, GA 30143 and payable to Mr. Burt Dotson.

Donations may also be made to Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in c/o Harold Sanford at 542 Ridgeview Trail, Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Denisha.
