Mr. Dennis J. Abercrombie, age 54, of Ellijay, passed on Monday, August 31st, 2026.

Dennis was born in Ellijay, GA, on April 24, 1972. Dennis was a treasured employee and manager at Ellijay Tire Company in Ellijay. He was also a member of the Little Baptist Church. He loved cars, especially NASCAR. He also loved his children and his grandchildren very much. Dennis never met a stranger; he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, James Abercrombie.

He is survived by his Wife, Sharon Abercrombie, Parents, Judy and Hub Lillard, Teresa Abercrombie, Kids Corey Cantrell, Brent Grimes, Chris Abercrombie, Jonathan Hensley, Jeremy Hensley and Lexie Anderson, Siblings, Genitha Johnson, Shane Abercrombie, Jason Abercrombie, Grands, Caleb, Layla, Anslie, Emma, Dakota, Hunter, Callum, Reese, and Lennox, Uncle, Danny Duckett, Nephews, Josh Johnson, Joe Johnson, Jacob, and Audie Abercrombie, Niece Karigan; mother in-law, Glenda Dalrymple.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Shelton and Rev. Glen Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jody Rogers, Brent Grimes, Caleb Grimes, Bo McCollum, Derek Rogers, and Stacey Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Duckett, Jeff Garland, Russell Williams, Audie Abercrombie, Joe Johnson, and Josh Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3rd from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, September 4th from 9:00 am until the service hour of 2:00 pm.

Food and Flowers will both be accepted, or a donation can be made to the funeral home to help the family with final funeral expenses in memory of Mr. Dennis Abercrombie.
