Mrs. Diane Goode Scott, age 67 of Ellijay, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at her residence.

Diane was born on February 18th, 1958 in the Republic of Panama, the daughter of the late Boyd W. Goode, Jr. and Martha Reed Goode. Diane was a gentle lady known for her sweet smile, kind heart, and deep love for the Lord. As the owner and publisher of The Real Estate Book of the North Georgia Mountains , she shared her passion for the area she called home. A faithful member of Little Baptist Church of Ellijay, Diane lived her life with grace, compassion, and unwavering faith. She found peace at the beach, where she loved collecting seashells and enjoying God's creation. Diane had a true passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around her with a thoughtful and artistic eye. Diane touched many lives with her warmth and gentle spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Scott is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Boyd W. Goode, Jr.; grandson, Austin Perry Dale, and aunt, Ruby Reed.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mr. Tommy Scott of Ellijay, GA; her mother, Mrs. Martha Goode of Ellijay, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Roy Scott and Mrs. Isabelle Scott of Ellijay, GA; daughter, Angela Dale and Jamie Priest of Ellijay, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda (Darryl) Crooke of Ellijay, GA; two grandchildren, Colby Newton (Danielle Cummins) and Cooper Hensley; one great-granddaughter, Audrey Belle Newton, and special friend, Tracy Baker also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Scott will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Hensley, Rev. Lloyd Worley, and Rev. Jeff Hollifield officiating. The Little Baptist Church Choir of Ellijay will perform vocals. Graveside Interment will be held in the Flint Hill Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as Pall Bearers: Bryson White, Autrey Hall, Johnny Scott, Alex Stover, Colby Newton, and Cooper Hensley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9th, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will be accepting food and flowers at the funeral home. In lieu of these, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Diane Goode Scott.
