Mrs. Donna Sue Farmer, age 55 of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2023 at the Fannin Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Farmer was born on January 24th, 1968 in Gilmer County to the late James Lee Peeler and Marilyn Miller Cook. She was a nurse and a member of the Freedom Fellowship Church. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her son, Chris Handy, and sister, Liecia Grizzle.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Farmer of McCaysville; mother, Marilyn Miller Cook of Blue Ridge; two sons, Seth Hamdy of Bethlehem, GA and Lee Farmer of Epworth, GA; James Peeler of Ellijay and John McClure of Ellijay, and one sister, Stephanie Peeler also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 24th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. In accordance to Mrs. Farmer's wishes, she will be cremated following the service.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24th, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.

Food and Flowers will be accepted. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with the funeral expenses.
