Donna Lee Hutchinson, age 79, of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2026.

Donna was born on December 5, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late Joseph Duncan and Larue Bartlett Duncan. She was a devoted registered nurse who took great pride in her work and truly loved caring for others. Nursing was more than a profession to Donna—it was a calling, and she served her patients with compassion, patience, and genuine kindness.

Donna loved the Lord and lived her life guided by faith. Her caring spirit extended beyond her profession, as she was always willing to help those in need and offer comfort to others. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Alongside her late husband, Donna spent three meaningful years serving at Christ Church in Jerusalem, an experience that deeply reflected her faith and commitment to service. She and Bill also enjoyed hosting friends, sharing time together, and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" H. Hutchinson, Jr.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Abigail Paige Hutchinson (Matthew) of Ellijay; her sister, Barbara (Lyn) Lopez; her sister-in-law, Alice Saunders; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A joint memorial service celebrating the lives of Donna and her husband will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2026 from the Emmanuel Full Gospel Church at 6:00pm.
