Mrs. Donna Lee Johnson-Baskin, age 60 of Ellijay, GA, passed on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at her residence.

Donna was born on April 16th, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Leroy Curtis Johnson and the late Virgia Lee Rixter Johnson.

A remarkable Golden Keys Society member, community activist, and holder of a Doctoral degree, as well as a devoted mother of three. Most importantly, she was a beloved child of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. Throughout her trials and tribulations her unwavering response to the question, "How did you make it?" was always, "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." She dedicated her life to serving God and the servitude of her neighborhood. And while she rest now, when the Almighty cracks the sky she's gonna shout "WHOOP WHOOP JESUS!"

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by one brother, Gary Johnson; four sisters, Sonia Johnson, Dandelene Johnson, Robin McElveen, and Lucinda Johnson.

She leaves behind a legacy of her husband, Mr. Earl Hall of Ellijay, GA; son, Adano Carr of Ellijay, GA; three daughters and sons-in-law, Fredricka (Shawn) Chadwell of Ellijay, GA, Sonja Baskin of Washington, GA, and Amore (Laquea) Baskin-Hines of Chasapeak, Virginia; two brothers, John Curtis of Philadelphia and Curtis Johnson of Philadelphia; two sisters, Anita Hogue of Linchberg, Virginia and Virgie Spurell of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Ace Lee Rose Chadwell, Laquea Hines, Jr., Yashar'El Hines, and Athena Face Chadwell, and three grandpups, MJ Holland, Harmony Baskin, and Max Hall also survive.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 9th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. In accordance with her wishes, following the public visitation, she will be cremated.

Not goodbye, but to be continued...
