Mrs. Dorothy Lorraine Proctor

Mrs. Dorothy Lorraine Proctor, age 80 of Ellijay, passed away Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Proctor was born on March 10th, 1943 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Clifton and Mildred Smith. She worked for many years in the food industry and was of the Baptist faith. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Proctor is preceded in death by 8 of her siblings.

Survivors include her loving husband, Wright Dwain Proctor; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Williams, Kathy and Nello Montesi, Kristy and Eddie Pendleton, and Karen Carver and Adam Teague; grandchildren, Jamie (Shayleen) Gastley, Zachary (Lindsey) Gastley, Michael (Adria) Gardner, Brian (Christy) Gardner, Brittney (Matt) Ayers, Joseph (Kelley) Montesi, Jerry (Dawn) Burch, Chelsey (Timothy) Gatewood, Jennifer Piovesan, Robert Piovesan, Mathis (Cheyenne) Carver, Mayson (Baley Elliot) Carver, and Maddison (Ben Crump) Carver, as well as 18 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Taylor officiating. Internment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 9:00 am till the funeral hour of 11:00 am.
