Mr. James "Eddie" Edwin Weaver, 74 of Ellijay, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, February 24 ^th , 2022.

Mr. Weaver was born on July 3 ^rd , 1947 in Gilmer County to the late Conrad Weaver and Mae Thompson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Seth Weaver and brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Joan Weaver. Mr. Weaver was a graduate of the Gilmer High School and was a used car dealer for many years. He proudly served our nation in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Holt Deboard Weaver; one son, Christopher (Taylor) Weaver of Ellijay, and daughter-in-law Natasha Pankey, two step children; Adam (Amanda) Deboard, Melissa (Luke) Mooney; one sister, Louise (Larry) Johnson of Suwanee, GA; two grandchildren, Brady Weaver (Taylor Nicholson) and Samantha Weaver; two step grandchildren, Morgan and Darren Deboard, and special daughter Jodi (Robby) Talley and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 27 ^th , 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Nelson and Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall Bears include Adam Deboard, Luke Mooney, Jamie Baxter, Michael Boyette, Jesse Nealey, Keith Cantrell, Robby Talley, and John Mata. Honorary Pall Bearers include Wayne Holt, Tim Weaver, James Henson, Roy Payne, and Billy Dotson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27 ^th , 2022 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family requests no food be brought to the funeral home.

Flowers are being accepted or donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Bernhardt Funeral Home of Ellijay is entrusted with the arrangements of Mr. Weaver.
