Eddy Lamar Turner, age 68, of Ellijay, Georgia went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024. He was born July 17, 1956, in Atlanta Georgia to the late Leroy and Ruenell Turner.  Eddy was a wonderful husband, father, stepfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend.  He was a kind and caring person, had a wonderful smile, and would do anything for anyone.  He loved NASCAR, fishing, camping, riding his Harley, and watching his Georgia Bulldogs play. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Jan Turner and sister, Patricia Stevens.

He is survived by his son Eric and daughter-in-law Jessica Turner of Richmond, Virginia, stepdaughter Christina Kettering of Carrollton, Georgia, brothers Aubrey, Billy, and Randall Turner of Morganton, Georgia, sisters Shelby Steele of Kennesaw, Georgia, Wanda Gaines of Morganton, Georgia, Susan and Mark Littleton of Acworth, Georgia, Nephew Justin Gaines of Morganton Georgia, Nephew Steve and Christina Turner of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Niece Casey and Michael Spradlin of Lagrange Georgia, Great niece Gracie Turner of Lagrange, Georgia, Great Niece Debra Turner of Pine Mountain, Georgia,  Great Nephew Steve (Turtle)  and Laura Turner of Pine Mountain, Georgia, as well as various other great great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 15th at 12 pm from the Grace and Truth Church in Dawsonville, GA with Rev. Jimmy and Linda Manders officiating.
