In loving memory of Edgar Thomas Bruce, 91 who passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at his home in Ellijay, GA.

Born on September 2, 1933 in Opelika, Alabama. Edgar was the beloved son of the late Jack and Carrie Bruce. A proud veteran and served honorably in the United States Army.

Above all, Ed was a man of faith, devoted to God, and shared this love with all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and care for his family.

Edgar is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Marie Bruce. Together, they built a strong, loving family.

His is survived by sisters; Lydane Kelly (Larry) and Ann Windham. Edgar's loving children include Robert (R.T.) Bruce and girlfriend (Inez) Jones, Sharon "Sharie" Bruce, and Ronald "Ron" Bruce (Holly).

His grandchildren include Shena Anderson (Joshua), and Chad Bruce (Missy).

Edgar was a proud great-grandfather to MaKenzie Reed, Nathan Anderson, Iszak Bruce, Emelyn Bruce, Genavee Bruce, and Xander Bruce.

He was also a great-great-grandfather to Everleigh Cathey and Iris Reed.

His Legacy of love, faith and family will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
