Mr. Edward Pendley Jr, age 77 of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, March 21 ^st , 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Pendley was born on April 1 ^st , 1945 in Pickens County to the late Edward Pendley and Roberta Bearden Pendley. He loved to listen to gospel music and pick the guitar. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pendley is preceded in death by three sisters, Janette Cheshire, Doris Pendley, and Dory Pendley.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Pendley; sons, Johnny Pendley, Ronnie Pendley and Cody Odom. Daughters; Francis Shelton, Patsy Pendley, Tabitha Turpin, stepsons and stepdaughter, Billy Odom Jr, Joshua Odom and Susan Newton, stepsons and stepdaughters; Johnny, Jody and Jamie Fowler, Margie Tatum and Sherry Abernathy; three brothers, William Pendley, Coy Pendley, and Randle Pendley; two sisters, Joanne Popham and Betty Cantrell; 35 grand and step grandchildren and several great-grand and step great grandchildren, also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 26 ^th , 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Ellis officiating. Pallbearers serving will include: Angel Pendley, Anthony Pendley, John "Spider" Pendley, Dakota Abernathy, Chris McClure, and Cody Odom. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25 ^th , 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
