Mrs. Karen Elaine Mitchell Gray, age 65 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, February 16th, 2024 at her residence.

Elaine was born on November 27th, 1958 in Stone Mountain, GA to the late Lamar Milton Mitchell, who preceded her in death, and Reba Elois Hagan Mitchell. She attended the Orchard Church of Ellijay, for the past 5 years, and was a member and Deacon of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA for 25 years  Elaine loved Ellijay and her mountain home, she especially loved sitting on her porch and enjoying all the beautiful nature.  Elaine was an avid Pickle Ball player and Kayaker. She was a wonderful wife and mother and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Roger Gray of Ellijay; mother, Elois Mitchell of Bethlehem, GA; two sons, Daniel Gray (Corbin Ray) and Taylor Gray all of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Alan Mitchell of New Orleans, LA and Gary (Angela) Mitchell of Buckhead, GA; two sisters, Angie McKnight of Covington, GA and Debbie (John) Lewis of Loganville, GA, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. John Byerly and Rev. Steve Dusek officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
