Mrs. Evelyn Delores Rogers, age 90 of Hawks Next Rd, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Rogers was born on November 18, 1934, in Nantahala, NC, the daughter of the late Kermit Dalrymple and the late Julia Kilpatric Dalrymple.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.  Evelyn loved going to church, reading her Bible, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Edward Rogers, and a son, Gary Lee Rogers.  Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Rogers are one son and daughter in law; Darrell and Sharon Rogers of Ellijay, GA, one daughter and son in law; Glenda and Sammy Nichols of Blairsville, GA, two sisters; Reva Withrow of Ellijay, GA, Brenda (Freddy) Thomas of Blue Ridge, GA, one brother; Leroy (Gail) Dalrymple of Gillsville, GA, four grandchildren; Abby (Derek) Jackson, Greg (Beverly) Rogers, Amanda (Kevin) McBride, Jimmy (Danya) Nichols, eight great grandchildren; Ellie Mae Teasley, Clifton Teasley, P.J. Teasley, Emily Schoen, Kendyl McBride, Camden McBride, Jackson Nichols, Jacob Nichols, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 24, 2025, at 11:00 am from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Tony Gilbert, Rev. Adam Fleming, and Rev. Chris Chastain officiating.  Special music will be presented by William Cantrell and Sharon Rogers.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; William Cantrell, Bryan Roper, Dwayne Davenport, Jeff Hollifield, Mark Hice, and Billy Cantrell.  Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery.  The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Sunday February 23, 2025, from 5-9:00 pm.
