Mrs. Frances Jean Mayfield age 85 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Mrs. Mayfield was born July 25, 1940, in Pickens County to the late Leonard Jenkins and Arlene Clark Jenkins. She worked as a machine operator for Whitepath Fab Tech and was a loyal member of Harvest Missionary Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred Mayfield and her brother, Steve Reece.

Survivors Include, her daughter and son in-law, Trish and Larry Welch, of Ellijay, GA; brother, Junior Reece., of Whitestone, GA; sister, of Toretha Barton, Ellijay, GA; 4 grandsons, Adam (Alita) Garland, Chase (Hannah) Garland, Dakota (Jennifer) Welch, and Isaiah (Hannah) Welch; 5 great grandchildren, Levi Garland, Bowie Garland, Johnnie Garland, Delilah Welch, and Ryker Welch; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 30th at 2 pm from Harvest Missionary Church with Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating, Music will be by the Harvest Missionary Church Praise Team. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 29th from 3 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home and again Thursday, October 30th from 9 am until 1:30 pm at the funeral home.

Food will be accepted but the family ask no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Yukon Cemetery Fund at 163 River Street, Ellijay, GA 30540 In Memory of Mrs. Mayfield.
