Mr. Fred Richard Copeland Jr., age 82 of Ellijay, passed away Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Copeland was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 28th, 1940 to the late Fred Richard Copeland Sr. and Alice Louise Dungan Copeland. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Charles R. Copeland and Fritz M. Copeland; daughter, Kari Copeland; brother, Danny Copeland; three grandchildren, Moriah Copeland, Danny Klausman, and Gaby Klausman; great-grandchild, Adelie Frazier; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

To honor his wishes, Mr. Copeland will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery with full Navy Honors.
