Freddie W. McCook, age 82 of Ellijay, GA passed away at his home on June 19, 2024.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl McCook of Ellijay; his son, Jeff McCook and his wife, Cindy McCook of Ellijay; son, Freddie Jr. "Skip" McCook and his wife, Michelle McCook; grandchildren, Aiden McCook and his wife, Ashley McCook, Kylie McCook, Leigh Anna Rogers, and her husband Alex Rogers, Ashleigh Queen and her husband, Tim Queen. Freddie had two great-grandsons on this earth and one great-granddaughter due any day now.

He was part of a large McCook family. He enjoyed nothing better than having his family surrounding him. He was employed by and retired from Atlantic Steel Company and attended Home Park School and O'Keefe High School both in Atlanta. Throughout his life, he loved hunting, fishing, and working on his old cars.

He was a wonderful person, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by all!

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Dr. David Drake officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Food and flowers will both be accepted in memory of Mr. McCook.
