HOBBS

Mr. Gary Hobbs age 67 of Ellijay, Georgia, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2024, following a brief illness. Gary was born in Toledo, OH to Raymon and Dorothy (Wilhelm) Hobbs.

Gary grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and spent the remainder of his life in, Lawrenceville and Marietta, Georgia. Gary married the love of his life, Elizabeth Hinshaw, in 1985. They were happily married for over 38 years.

Gary was a stellar athlete, excelling in high school and college football and baseball. Gary loved the Georgia Bulldogs, music, and boating on Lake Lanier. He was a self-made man, strong and determined. He began his career in glass and mirror work, rising to Vice President of Lowe Glass, and then launched his own company Glass Services of Marietta, in 1992. Gary was a large man with an even larger heart. He was always there when needed, for his family and his friends, and he always had your back.

Gary is survived by his wife Beth, his brother David Hobbs (Vicki), his sister Lori Hobbs Morton (Thomas Bentivegna), his nephews Brandon Hobbs and Samuel Hobbs Morton, and his nieces Kara (Hobbs) Rogers, Brittany Bentivenga, Brooke Mays, and Brittany Mays, along with many beloved grand nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
