Mr. Gerald O'Daniel Jones, age 79 of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Jones was born on February 1st, 1944 in Gilmer County to the late Junie Jones and the late Lela Weaver Jones. He was a member of the Flat Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Jones of Blairsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda (Gene) Burney of Ellijay; one son, Mitchell Jones of Ellijay; one step-son, Michael Smith of Covington, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Robert) Walker of Ellijay; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edwin Land officiating. Singing will be Ronald and Linda Hyde. Following the service, Mr. Jones will be cremated.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 3:00 p.m.

Food will be accepted in memory of Mr. Gerald O'Daniel Jones.
