Geraldine Frances Pinkard, age 83, of Ellijay, Ga, passed on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Geraldine was born June 12, 1942, at Fort McPherson, Chamblee Ga the daughter of the late John William West and Ruby Jewell Pirkle West. She worked in the food industry, employed by Kraft Foods, which was one of her most enjoyable times. She loved her family and had the most infectious laugh.   Gardening was her passion, and she had a beautiful yard. She also loved hunting and was an avid skier. She was also a wonderful sister and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her two sons, Wayne Smith and Michael ''Mike'' Pinkard, daughter Cathy Smith, brothers Charles West, Ronnie West, and sister Marilyn Robbins.

Survivors include her sister Beverly (Charles) Harrison, 4 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at the Stone Mountain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26th, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
