Mrs. Gilda Paulette Davis Mulkey passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

She was born January 28, 1947, in Coker Creek, Tenn., to the late Arvil Hoyt and Ruth Morrow Davis. She grew up in Ellijay, where she lived her entire life until moving to Wildwood. She was a member of Turniptown Baptist Church and sang in the Gospel Melody Trio for several years with Bill and Catherine Davis and Kirk Champion. She loved the Lord and has gone to be with him, reunited with parents and beloved sister, Wanda Sue Davis.

She is survived by husband, James Mulkey; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Michael Fortson, of Knoxville, Tenn., Jennifer and Curtis Clayton, of Gainesville and Amanda and Michael Silvers, of Ellijay; stepchildren, James and Jessica Mulkey, of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Randall and Carolyn Bryson, of Rocky Face, Cynthia Nichols, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Ann and Alan Wade, of Wildwood; grandchildren and their spouses, Aby and Nathan Burnett, of Ellijay, Stephanie and Frankie Silva, of Texas, Austin Clayton, of Atlanta, Logan Silvers, of Dalton and Cheyenne Silvers, of Ellijay; great-grandchildren, Carly Ramey, Chikoa Ramey, Lily Silva and Robert Silva; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Karen Harris, Pam Davis, Donna O'Neal and April Teague; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous family members and friends.

She was a special "grandmother" to great-nieces, Carolina and Bailey Teague and great-nephew, Ethan Teague.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 22nd at 3 pm from the Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Fortson, Curtis Clayton, Michael Silvers, Austin Clayton, Jeff Harris and Randall Bryson.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 21st from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
