Girtha Mae Sigers, age 83 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Girtha was born April 15th, 1941 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Holt and Effie Sanford Holt. She was a member of the Riverhill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee Holt and Effie Sanford Holt, sister Hazel Young, brothers, Bobby Holt, Charles Holt, Lewis Holt, and Franklin Holt.

Girtha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth (Tammy) Sigers, Brothers, and sisters-in-law; James (Brenda) Holt, Ellijay, Doyle (Wilma) Holt, Ellijay, Sister and brother-in-law; Alice (Ted) Hall, Ellijay, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Riverhill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Smith and Rev. Russell Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Billy Holt, William Holt, Carl Holt, Michael Holt, Daniel Young, and Tyler Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruel Southern, Euel Southern, and Joey Holt. Music will be performed by Ronald and Linda Hyde.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16th from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers and Food will both be accepted in memory of Mrs. Sigers.
